TP-Link Omada EAP723 BE5000 WiFi7 access point

Dual-band WiFi7 access point

The TP-Link Omada EAP723 is a ceiling or wall mountable wireless access point built for businesses deploying WiFi7. It operates on 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz bands with MIMO and Multi User MIMO technology. A single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides the wired uplink. Power consumption is rated at 16 W.

2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink

The single RJ-45 port runs at 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and is the only wired connection. If your network backbone only offers 1 Gigabit ports, that link will limit total throughput. Buyers whose infrastructure cannot supply a 2.5 GbE connection will not reach the rated wireless capacity.

Sustained throughput ceiling

The aggregate wireless rate is 3.49 Gbit/s across both bands. Under continuous heavy load the 16 W power budget and single 2.5 GbE uplink constrain real-world throughput to the wired port speed. Environments needing sustained multi-gigabit wireless distribution beyond 2.5 GbE should consider models with additional or faster uplinks.
