Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point with four internal and four external antennas plus a 2.5 GbE port for indoor or outdoor deployment
The TP-Link Omada EAP725-Outdoor is a dual-band wireless access point built for Wi-Fi 7 networks. It operates on 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz bands with four internal and four external antennas. A single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides the wired uplink for indoor or outdoor deployments.
The unit is designed for continuous operation in exposed locations without active cooling. Its sealed enclosure handles temperature shifts and moisture while drawing power through the Ethernet connection. Silent passives keep background noise at zero in normal use.
Under heavy client traffic the radio chains maintain throughput across both bands using 802.11be efficiency gains. The 2.5 GbE uplink prevents the wired side from becoming a bottleneck during prolonged high-density sessions. The hardware targets stable throughput for 2026-era Wi-Fi 7 environments.

Mount the unit on a pole or wall using the included bracket, then connect the single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port to a PoE switch; the step often missed is verifying the switch delivers enough PoE power for both radio chains.
The four external antennas and their weather seals should be inspected annually for corrosion or UV damage; the internal antennas are sealed and need no service, while the RJ-45 port may require a cable swap if the connector wears.
The single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink caps aggregate throughput at 2.5 Gbit/s, so combined 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz client traffic cannot exceed that wired bottleneck even though the radios support higher PHY rates.
