Dual TX/RX Bluetooth 5.0 adapter

The TP-Link T7 adds Bluetooth 5.0 to any device with a USB power port and a 3.5 mm AUX jack. In transmitter mode it streams audio from a TV or PC to wireless headphones. In receiver mode it brings wireless playback to wired speakers or a car stereo. A built-in microphone enables hands-free calls when used in a vehicle.

Plug-and-play with mode switch

Insert the adapter into a USB port for power, connect the included 3.5 mm cable, and it enters pairing mode automatically. Press the multi-function button for two seconds to toggle between TX and RX modes, indicated by a flashing red light. The only common issue is attempting TX mode on a TV USB port that supplies power but no audio output; the 3.5 mm connection must reach the TV's audio-out jack.

Bluetooth 5.0 range and audio limits

Bluetooth 5.0 provides a stable link up to 33 feet in open space. Audio quality is limited by the Bluetooth codec and the analogue 3.5 mm connection, so high-resolution formats are not transmitted. The adapter requires a USB power source and a 3.5 mm port on the host device; it cannot add Bluetooth to equipment lacking either interface.
