Four compact Wi-Fi plugs let you schedule and voice-control small appliances up to 10 A and 1200 W from anywhere
This four-pack of TP-Link Tapo P100 smart plugs lets households control lamps, fans or small kitchen appliances from a phone. Each unit connects directly to a home Wi-Fi network without a separate hub. The compact white housing keeps neighbouring sockets free for other devices. Setup uses Bluetooth and the Tapo app for quick pairing.
The slim outline means two plugs fit side by side on a standard double outlet. Bluetooth assists the initial Wi-Fi connection, after which the plug stays online through the router. Voice control works with Alexa and Google Assistant once linked in the app. Multi-user access allows family members to operate the same plug from their own phones.
Each plug handles a maximum load of 10 amps or 1200 watts, so it suits lighting, chargers and small appliances. Heavier loads such as heaters or large power tools exceed this rating and need a different solution. The Tapo app is mandatory; the older Kasa app does not support these devices. Scheduling and remote on-off are managed entirely inside the Tapo ecosystem.

The plug uses standard Wi-Fi and the Tapo app to control appliances remotely; the 10 A and 1200 W load rating is the practical limit for connected devices.
The compact design leaves the adjacent socket free so two plugs can sit side by side on a standard double outlet.
Setup pairs the plug via Bluetooth in the Tapo app; the step people miss is downloading the new Tapo app instead of the older Kasa app, which is not compatible.
