Creates a secure wired network over existing electrical wiring with two gigabit ports and plug-and-play setup
The TP-Link TL-PA7020 KIT_V2 brings a wired network connection to any room using existing electrical wiring. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports on each adapter let you link a desktop PC, smart TV or set-top box without running new cables. HomePlug AV2 compliance and 128-bit AES encryption keep the link secure and compatible with other AV2 devices. Setup is plug-and-play with no software configuration required.
Each unit draws a maximum of 5.7 W and typically 4.7 W during normal operation, dropping to 1.4 W in standby. Patented power-saving mode can reduce consumption by up to 85 percent when traffic is idle. The adapters are rated for continuous use between 0 and 40 °C (32 to 104 °F) with 10 to 90 percent non-condensing humidity. No fans are present, so operation is completely silent.
A 6.5 ft CAT.5e RJ45 Ethernet cable is supplied for each adapter, enabling immediate connection to a router or device. A quick installation guide walks through the pairing process step by step. Buyers who need more than two wired endpoints or who require Wi-Fi extension from the same outlet will need additional hardware.

Plug each adapter directly into a wall socket, connect the supplied 6.5 ft CAT.5e cables to the two Gigabit Ethernet ports, then press the pair button on both units within two minutes to enable 128-bit AES encryption; skipping the pairing step leaves the link unsecured.
No routine maintenance is required; the adapters have no moving parts or user-serviceable components, so replacement is only necessary if a unit fails or if you need more than the two provided Gigabit ports.
The HomePlug AV2 powerline link is rated up to 1000 Mbps, but real-world throughput is capped by the two Gigabit Ethernet ports and by electrical noise on the mains wiring, which typically becomes the bottleneck before the adapters reach their 5.7 W maximum power draw.
