Connects 16 devices at up to 1000 Mbps with fanless metal housing, energy-efficient operation, and plug-and-play setup
The TP-Link TL-SG116 adds sixteen 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports to a network. It is built for homes or small offices that need more wired connections for PCs, printers, NAS devices or access points. Auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX handle link speed and cable type automatically. No configuration or software is required to start passing traffic.
The switch runs without a fan, so it stays silent in a desktop or wall-mounted position. IEEE 802.3X flow control helps prevent packet loss during congestion. Energy-efficient technology reduces power draw as ports scale up to gigabit speeds. The unit operates between 0 °C and 40 °C.
Port-based 802.1p/DSCP QoS prioritises voice and video streams. IGMP Snooping forwards multicast traffic only to interested ports. These features work without a management interface. Buyers who need VLANs, link aggregation or remote monitoring should choose a managed switch instead.

Yes, each of the 16 RJ45 ports auto-negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so legacy gear connects at its maximum speed without manual setup.
The front-panel LEDs show link, activity and speed per port; solid green means a 1000 Mbps link, blinking indicates data flow, and no light means no connection.
The metal chassis has built-in keyhole slots for wall mounting and rubber feet for desktop use; no extra brackets are required.
