Eight PoE+ ports with 61 W budget

The TL-SG2210P is a smart managed switch that delivers eight Gigabit RJ45 ports with PoE+ support and two Gigabit SFP slots for fibre uplinks. Each copper port can supply up to 30 W under IEEE 802.3at, while the total PoE power budget reaches 61 W. The desktop form factor targets small and medium businesses that need to power access points, IP cameras or VoIP phones without separate injectors.

Fanless desktop thermals and 61 W draw

The switch operates without a fan, so it runs silently in office or cabinet environments. Heat is dissipated through the metal enclosure while the unit draws up to 61 W from the mains to cover both switching and PoE loads. Power consumption scales with the number of powered devices attached, keeping idle draw low. No acoustic or thermal specifications beyond silent operation are provided.

Upgrade from unmanaged or non-PoE switches

This model replaces unmanaged Gigabit switches when VLANs, QoS, ACLs, static routing or SNMP monitoring become necessary. It also replaces non-PoE smart switches when PoE+ endpoints must be powered from the network core. The jump is worth it when a single device must handle both Layer 2/3 management and a 61 W PoE budget for up to eight endpoints.

PoE recovery and Omada SDN integration

The switch supports automatic PoE recovery that detects and reboots unresponsive powered devices without manual intervention. It integrates with the Omada SDN platform for centralised configuration, monitoring and firmware updates across multiple sites, using either a hardware controller, software controller or standalone mode. Cloud access via the Omada app enables remote management from any location. IPv6 and static routing are supported for modern network stacks.

Questions about this item

How do I install the TL-SG2210P and which step is often missed?

Connect the 8 PoE+ RJ45 ports and 2 SFP slots, then enable PoE on each port in the web UI — the step most users miss is activating PoE per port after physical connection.

What maintenance or replacement will the TL-SG2210P need later?

The fanless desktop unit has no moving parts to replace; only firmware updates via Omada SDN or web interface are required over its lifetime.

What limit appears first on the TL-SG2210P under sustained PoE load?

The 61 W total PoE budget caps simultaneous 30 W per-port delivery across all 8 ports, so full 30 W on every port cannot be sustained together.
