Tiny USB 2.0 Wi-Fi adapter adds 150 Mbps 802.11n wireless to a desktop or laptop
The TP-Link TL-WN725N is a nano-sized USB 2.0 wireless adapter that adds 802.11n connectivity to desktops or laptops. It targets users who need a basic 2.4 GHz link for web browsing, email and light streaming on Windows 7, Vista or XP systems.
With an internal antenna and a tiny 18.6 x 15.0 x 7.1 mm body, the adapter draws power directly from the USB port without a separate supply. It runs silently, produces negligible heat and maintains a maximum EIRP below 20 dBm across 11b, 11g and 11n rates.
The device occupies a single USB 2.0 port and protrudes only 7.1 mm, leaving adjacent ports free and suiting cramped chassis or mobile use. A 14-language utility CD and software WPS simplify driver installation and network setup, while Soft AP mode enables internet sharing without extra hardware. Not suited for builds requiring 5 GHz band support or aggregate throughput above 150 Mbps.

Plug the nano adapter into a USB 2.0 port, run the 14-language utility from the auto-run CD before connecting, then select your network; skipping the driver install first is the common error.
No user-serviceable parts exist; the internal antenna and USB 2.0 interface are sealed, so only driver updates for Windows 7, Vista or XP may be required over time.
The 150 Mbps Wireless N ceiling and 2.4 GHz band congestion cap throughput well before the <20 dBm EIRP or USB 2.0 bus become bottlenecks.
