Magnetic portable SSD clips to MagSafe iPhones and transfers data at up to 20Gbps via USB Type‑C

  • Magnetic clip secures drive to MagSafe iPhones
  • 20Gbps transfer speed records 4K ProRes video smoothly
  • USB Type-C plug-and-play works instantly
  • 2TB capacity stores large media libraries
  • Compact design fits outdoor shoots and travel

Magnetic SSD for iPhone

The Transcend ESD420 2TB portable SSD attaches magnetically to MagSafe-compatible iPhone models or devices with magnetic cases. It connects via USB Type-C for plug-and-play operation. The drive is built for users who need instant extra storage while shooting or travelling. Its compact form keeps backups within reach at all times.

Suits mobile creators; not for non-magnetic devices

This SSD suits outdoor photographers, travellers, and content creators who record 4K ProRes video directly to external storage. Buyers whose phones lack built-in MagSafe and who do not use a magnetic-compatible case cannot attach the drive magnetically. Users needing a desktop drive with a fixed cable or larger desktop capacities should consider other form factors.

2TB capacity handles 4K and 8K workflows

The 2TB model stores 4K and 8K video files, high-resolution photos, and documents with ample headroom for extended shoots. The USB 20Gbps interface sustains the write speeds required for ProRes capture without dropped frames. When the 2TB limit is reached, users must offload footage or move to a higher-capacity drive in the same series.
