Questions about this item

How does the 10/100BTX to 100BFX conversion behave once the unit is installed in a live network?

The converter links a 10 or 100 Mbps copper port to a 100 Mbps multimode fibre port using LC connectors, passing traffic at up to 100 Mbps full duplex over distances up to 2 km.

What does the LC multimode interface limit in everyday use?

The LC multimode fibre interface caps the link at 100 Mbps and restricts reach to 2 km, so longer runs or gigabit speeds would require different optics.
