Compact SDI to HDMI Converter

The Lumantek ez-SHV+ converts SDI signals to HDMI while providing a built-in 2.7 inch TFT LCD for 24/7 monitoring. It suits broadcast engineers and AV technicians who need to verify signal integrity on location or in a rack. A mirrored output supports teleprompter workflows without extra distribution gear.

Resolution Range and Cable Diagnostics

The dip switch selects output resolutions from 480i up to 1080p, giving flexibility for legacy and modern sources. Automatic cable-length detection reports short, medium or long runs up to 190 metres at 3G-SDI, so operators can spot degradation before picture loss occurs. An on-screen audio level meter adds confidence during live production.

Interface Practical Limits

The single SDI input and loop-through output restrict the unit to point-to-point conversion rather than multi-channel switching. HDMI output tops out at 1080p, so 4K or HDR pipelines need a different converter. Wall-mount brackets save bench space but do not add rack ears for standard enclosures.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.7" TFT LCD screen let me verify an older 480i SDI camera is sending a clean signal before I connect the HDMI output?

Yes, the LCD shows the incoming 480i resolution, eye-pattern, and cable length so you can confirm the legacy source is stable before routing to HDMI.

After powering the unit, how can I confirm the scaler is correctly converting my 1080p SDI feed to the chosen HDMI resolution?

The LCD simultaneously displays input and output resolutions plus the eye-pattern, letting you verify the scaler is active and the 1080p signal is clean.

Does the package include the side brackets needed for wall mounting, or must I source them separately?

The unit ships with the side bracket that enables wall mounting; no extra bracket purchase is required.
