Rug tape for indoor and outdoor use

Trazon double-sided carpet tape uses hot melt adhesive to secure rugs, runners and mats on hardwood, laminate, vinyl and carpeted floors. The 2-inch by 12-yard roll is designed to hold for six months or longer while remaining residue-free on delicate surfaces. It is water-resistant and suitable for indoor or outdoor projects. Cutting is straightforward with household scissors or a knife.

Best for homeowners fixing loose rugs

Buyers who need a strong, removable bond for area rugs on smooth floors will find this tape effective. It works on wood, laminate and vinyl without leaving glue behind. People looking for a permanent structural adhesive, a tape rated for extreme industrial loads or a product designed specifically for vertical mounting should consider other solutions.

12-yard length decides coverage

One roll provides 12 yards of 2-inch-wide tape, which determines how many rugs or runners can be secured in a single purchase. Measure the total perimeter of the pieces you plan to anchor before ordering. The 36-foot figure on the label is the same length expressed in feet.

Questions about this item

What surface must I already have clean and dry before applying the 2 Inch × 12 Yards tape?

The tape bonds to hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, carpet or concrete provided the surface is clean, dry and free of dust or oil.

Will the hot-melt adhesive damage the finish on my existing hardwood floor when I remove the tape after six months?

The formulation is designed to be residue-free on wood-safe and surface-finish-safe floors, so the original finish should remain intact when the tape is peeled away.

How can I verify the tape is holding correctly once I have pressed the rug down?

Walk across the rug edges and corners; if there is no lifting, curling or sliding, the 2-inch wide bond is performing as intended.
