Two-computer HDMI KVM

This TRENDnet 02RD KVM switch lets you operate two computers from a single monitor, keyboard, mouse and printer set. It provides two HDMI console ports and USB 2.0 computer links, switching with a push button or wired controller. The unit includes two HDMI cables and two USB cables, and draws power from the connected systems.

Steady 4K 30 Hz output

The switch maintains a stable 4K 30 Hz signal during extended sessions, falling back to 1080p when a source cannot drive the higher rate. Updated USB 3.0 ports improve peripheral data stability while the aluminium chassis passively dissipates heat without fan noise. No external power adapter is required for continuous operation.

Check ports and OS before ordering

Verify each computer has an HDMI output and a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port for the supplied cables. The monitor must accept 4K 30 Hz or 1080p over HDMI. Supported host systems are Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS with driver-free plug-and-play.

Questions about this item

Does the 02RD generate noticeable heat or fan noise when left running all day?

The 02RD has no fan and draws power from the connected computers, so it runs silently and stays cool during continuous use.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the 02RD with two computers?

The box includes two HDMI cables and two USB cables, so you only need a monitor, keyboard, mouse and optionally a printer to start.

Will the 02RD work with a PC that only outputs 1080p over HDMI?

Yes, the switch supports 1080p and lower resolutions alongside its maximum 4K@30Hz capability.
