Controls two computers with one 4K 30 Hz monitor and shares four USB 3.0 peripherals at 5 Gbps
This TRENDnet G98 KVM switch lets you control two computers from a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. It supports 4K resolution at 30Hz for sharp visuals. LED indicators show which system is active. The unit is designed for office, home-theatre and gaming setups.
The switch provides four USB 3.0 ports that work as a shared hub for peripherals beyond the keyboard and mouse. Data moves at up to 5 Gbps and the ports remain compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. Both USB cables must be connected to the computers for the hub feature to operate.
Your monitor must accept HDMI input and support 4K at 30Hz for the highest resolution. Each computer needs an HDMI output and two free USB ports for the included cables. The switch draws power from the USB connections so no separate adapter is required.

The unit ships with integrated cables so there are no detachable leads to swap; only the push-button panel or the USB 3.0 ports would require service if they wear out.
The HDMI link is specified for 4K at 30 Hz, so the display interface itself is the first bottleneck during extended sessions.
No fan is present and the device draws power from the connected USB-C ports, so it runs silently with only modest warmth.
