Two-Computer DVI KVM Switch

The TRENDnet TK-214I lets a single DVI monitor, USB keyboard, USB mouse, speakers and microphone control two computers. It ships with both sets of DVI, USB and audio cables so the link is ready immediately. The unit draws power from the USB bus, so no external adapter is required. It suits home offices or small labs where desk space is limited.

Steady-State Operation Within Rated Limits

The switch operates continuously between 0°C and 40°C with humidity up to 90% non-condensing. Passive cooling and bus power mean there are no fans to fail or power bricks to overheat during long sessions. LED indicators show which computer is active without adding thermal load. The solid-state switching path maintains the 1920 x 1200 video signal without degradation over time.

Cable Kit and Hot-Key Switching Simplify Setup

All required cables are included, so the installer only connects the six plugs per computer and the console peripherals. A push-button on the unit and configurable hot-keys change the active PC without software on Windows and Linux; Mac users need the supplied switcher software for 10.4 or higher. The fixed cable length limits how far the computers can sit from the console, and the DVI-I connectors do not carry native HDMI or DisplayPort signals.
