A 10-foot bonded cable carrying USB 1.1 keyboard and mouse signals plus a VGA monitor link to compatible KVM switches
The TRENDnet TK-CU10 is a 2-in-1 KVM cable that bonds a VGA monitor link and a USB 1.1 keyboard/mouse link into one black assembly. It measures 10 feet (3.1 m) end to end and terminates in three connectors: a HDB 15-pin male for video and a USB Type A male for peripheral signals. The single-cable design reduces clutter when linking a computer to a compatible KVM switch.
The cable is validated for TRENDnet KVM switches TK-207K, TK-209K, TK-407K, TK-409K, TK-423K, TK-803R, TK-804R, TK-1603R and TK-1604R. It will not suit installations that require DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort video connections, nor those needing USB 2.0 or higher peripheral bandwidth. Builders using other switch brands or longer runs should look at alternative cables.
The monitor end uses a VGA/SVGA HDB 15-pin male-to-male interface, so the computer and the switch must both provide that analogue video port. If either side only offers digital video outputs, this cable cannot make the connection.
