  • Converts a standard port to PoE+ delivering up to 30W
  • Auto-sensing supplies 15.4W PoE or 30W PoE+ as needed

  • Extends PoE devices up to 100 metres using Cat6A cabling
  • Reduces installation cost by eliminating separate power outlets

Power delivery and 10G connectivity

This injector combines electrical power with a 10GBASE-T network link to create a 10G PoE+ signal. It connects to a non-PoE switch and transmits data plus power over Cat6A or better cabling. Auto-sensing technology delivers the correct wattage for PoE or PoE+ devices. The unit supports network runs up to 100 metres (328 ft.) for compatible endpoints.

Ideal for adding PoE to high-speed links

Suitable for installers who need to power wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones or access-control gear over a 10G backbone. It removes the need for a PoE switch upgrade and works within NDAA and TAA compliance for U.S. and Canadian projects. Not suited for networks limited to 1G speeds, for cable runs beyond 100 metres, or for devices that require more than 30W of power.

Maximum power budget per port

The injector supplies either 15.4W under the 802.3af standard or 30W under the 802.3at standard. This single figure determines whether your PoE or PoE+ device can operate without an additional power source.

Questions about this item

Should I use this injector for a 15.4W PoE device or a 30W PoE+ device?

The TPE-315GI auto-senses and delivers either 15.4W PoE or 30W PoE+, so it works with both device classes from the same port.

What does the 10GBASE-T rating mean for my actual network speed?

It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper, so a connected PoE device can run at up to 10 Gbps when the switch and cabling also support that rate.

Does the 100m distance limit apply to Cat6 cable or only Cat6A?

The 100m (328 ft.) reach is specified for Cat6A or better cabling; lesser categories are not rated for the full distance at 10G.
