The TRENDnet TPE-E100 is a single-port PoE+ repeater designed for installers who need to push Gigabit Ethernet and power beyond the standard cable limit. It accepts PoE or PoE+ input and forwards both data and power through one Gigabit output port. The unit mounts on a wall and operates without an external adapter.

100-Metre Extension Limit per Unit

Each repeater adds 100 metres to the link, so a single device yields a total run of 200 metres (656 ft.) while maintaining 10/100/1000Base-T speeds. The IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards cap delivered power at 15.4 W and 30 W respectively, so the downstream device must stay within those budgets. No separate power supply is required unless the optional power port is used.

Replaces Mid-Span Injectors and Extra Switches

This repeater removes the need for a mid-span injector or an additional powered switch when the cable run exceeds 100 metres. Daisy-chaining two units extends a PoE+ network to 300 metres (980 ft.), and three units reach 400 metres (1,312 ft.). The jump is worth it when a single cable pull must cover long corridors, outdoor poles or campus links without adding AC outlets.
