The TRENDnet V806 lets you control two computers from a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. It is built for users who need to share one display and USB peripherals between a pair of HDMI-equipped systems. Driver-free operation works with Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. The unit draws power from the connected computers and requires no external supply.

Fanless operation with USB bus power

The switch has no moving parts and runs silently because it uses only the USB 2.0 bus for power. Maximum video throughput is 3840x2160 at 60 Hz, with downward compatibility to 30 Hz and 1080p at 60 Hz or 30 Hz. Audio and microphone signals are routed together with the video. No separate power adapter is needed for normal use.

Bundled cables remove extra purchases

The package includes two 1.2 m HDMI cables and two 1.2 m USB 2.0 cables so the switch works immediately without separate cable purchases. A front-panel push button with LED indication selects the active computer; hotkey switching is not supported. Ultra-wide monitor formats are not compatible with this model.
