Product and Audience

The Trexonic TRX-1580 is a portable DVD player with a 14.1 inch TFT-LCD screen that swivels for flexible viewing. It suits travellers, families and anyone wanting disc playback away from a mains socket.

Thermals Noise Power

The unit runs from an embedded rechargeable battery so no mains cable is needed during normal use. A supplied car adaptor keeps it powered on long journeys. Operation is silent with no audible fan.

Build Integration

The 90 degree left and 180 degree right screen rotation lets the display fold flat or face rear passengers. SD, USB, earphone, AV in, AV out and DC in ports cover external media and TV connection. The package weighs 4.30 lbs and measures 16.00 x 11.00 x 12.00 inches. It is not for buyers who want Blu-ray playback or built-in streaming apps.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 14.1" screen in a car headrest and which rotation stop do people miss?

The swivel hinge rotates 90 degrees left and 180 degrees right; the step most users miss is locking the screen at the desired angle before tightening the headrest straps, otherwise the display can slip during travel.

Which component will need replacement first after heavy daily use?

The embedded rechargeable battery is the only user-serviceable part that degrades with charge cycles; plan to replace it when playback time drops noticeably.

What limit appears first during a long road trip on battery power?

Battery runtime is the first constraint; once the internal pack is depleted you must connect the DC car adaptor or mains charger to continue watching.
