Questions about this item

Does the kit generate any noise, heat or draw power while supporting a UPS all day?

No, the 4POSTRAILKIT is a passive mechanical rail kit with no fans, electronics or power supply, so it produces zero noise, zero heat and consumes no electricity.

What rack hardware must I already have for this kit to work?

You need a four-post rack with square mounting holes; the included attachment hardware fits that pattern directly.

Will the adjustable rails still fit if I keep an older UPS with a 17.5-inch wide chassis?

Yes, the expandable L brackets adjust from 20.5 to 36 inches deep and are rated for chassis up to 250 lb, so a 17.5-inch wide legacy UPS will mount securely.
