4-Port VGA KVM Switch

The Tripp Lite B006-VU4-1 connects up to four computers to a single VGA monitor and one USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse set. It is built for administrators or power users who need to manage multiple desktops or servers from one console without extra software.

Suits multi-system desks and rack environments

Ideal for operators who switch between several legacy or modern PCs using VGA video and standard keyboard and mouse ports. Not suited for buyers who need HDMI, DisplayPort or DVI video inputs, or those requiring audio switching and USB peripheral sharing beyond keyboard and mouse.

No external power or software required

Plug-and-play operation means the unit draws power from the connected computers and works immediately on Windows, macOS, Linux and UNIX. Front-panel buttons, hotkeys and mouse gestures handle switching, while auto-scan cycles through ports at five-second intervals. The optional P778-006 cable kit provides the necessary VGA and USB or PS/2 links for each computer.

Questions about this item

What cables do I need to connect each computer's VGA video and USB or PS/2 keyboard/mouse to the B006-VU4-1?

Each computer requires a VGA video cable plus either a USB or PS/2 cable for keyboard and mouse; the P778-006 cable kit is recommended for this purpose.

Will the switch pass through 2048 x 1536 resolution from older VGA computers to my monitor?

Yes, the unit supports video resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 via DDC2B, so legacy systems outputting that resolution will display correctly.

How do I confirm the KVM is actively controlling the computer I selected?

The front-panel LEDs light to show which of the four ports is currently active, giving immediate visual confirmation.
