Eight HDMI sources to one console

The Tripp Lite B024-HU08 is an 8-port KVM switch that connects eight HDMI-enabled devices to a single HDMI monitor, USB keyboard and USB mouse. It supports computers, media centres, gaming consoles and video players in a 1U rack-mount form factor. The switch reduces desk clutter by consolidating control of multiple systems into one workstation.

Passive switching with LED status

Front-panel pushbuttons, hotkey commands and a multi-lingual on-screen display provide instant switching between connected devices. An auto-scan mode cycles through all ports at five-second intervals for unattended monitoring. Orange LEDs clearly indicate the currently selected port without active cooling or audible noise.

Cascades to 512 endpoints

Three levels of cascading expand capacity from eight to 512 computers using the same original console. This suits server rooms and broadcast racks that need centralised management without additional monitors or input devices. The included cables allow immediate deployment for standard HDMI and USB connections.

Questions about this item

How do I install the B024-HU08 in a rack and connect eight HDMI computers?

Mount the 1U switch in a standard rack, connect each computer's HDMI and USB cables to the eight rear ports, then attach one HDMI monitor, USB keyboard and USB mouse to the console ports.

What cables or modules will need replacement over time?

The eight included HDMI/USB cable sets linking each computer to the switch are the only consumable links; replace any set if its connectors wear or the cable jacket is damaged.

What is the maximum number of computers I can control before hitting the cascade limit?

You can cascade up to three levels of B024-HU08 switches to reach a total of 512 connected computers from a single console.
