8-Port Cat5 KVM with 19" LCD

The Tripp Lite B070-008-19-IP combines an 8-port KVM switch, a 19-inch LCD screen, keyboard and touchpad in a single 1U rack-mountable drawer. It supports D-Sub, USB and PS/2 computer connections using Cat5e/6/6a cabling for distances up to 100 ft. The unit operates on nominal input voltages from 100V AC to 240V AC with electrical consumption of 30W in line mode and 5W in standby mode. TAA compliance qualifies it for GSA Schedule purchases.

Suited for single-rack server rooms needing local

This console suits administrators who require simultaneous local and IP-based remote control of up to eight servers from one rack location. The 1366 x 768 LCD resolution and single local user port limit its use for operators needing higher display clarity or multiple concurrent local users. Buyers who need more than eight direct computer connections or dual local consoles should look at a different solution.

1366 x 768 maximum video resolution

The integrated 19-inch LCD supports video resolutions up to 1366 x 768, which determines the maximum display clarity available for both local and remote sessions. If your servers output higher resolutions, the console will downscale the image, potentially affecting readability of detailed interfaces. Verify that this resolution meets your monitoring and management requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 19" LCD is displaying the correct 1366 x 768 resolution after rack-mounting the B070-008-19-IP?

Power on the unit, open the drawer and check the on-screen display menu; it will report the active resolution. If the connected server outputs 1366 x 768, the LCD shows it natively without scaling.

Which cables and adapters must I purchase separately to connect eight servers to the Cat5 ports on this KVM switch?

The package includes the KVM drawer, a C13 to 5-15P power cord, rack-mount hardware and a CD with manuals. You must buy Cat5e/6/6a patch cables and the appropriate USB or PS/2 dongles for each of the eight server ports.

When should I choose the 8-port IP model over a smaller port-count version for my rack?

Select this 8-port model when you need to control up to eight servers from a single 1U drawer with both local LCD/keyboard/touchpad access and simultaneous remote IP access for a second user.
