Cat6a shielded DIN-rail coupler

This Eaton Tripp Lite Series coupler joins two RJ45 cables in a straight-through shielded connection. It is rated for Cat6a performance and meets TAA compliance for government procurement. The snap-in design mounts directly onto standard DIN rails inside cabinets or enclosures. It suits installers who need a permanent, shielded inline joint without a patch panel.

Shielded metal housing manages heat passively

The all-metal shielded body dissipates the small heat load from PoE or continuous data traffic without a fan. No active cooling means silent operation in noise-sensitive racks. Power draw is limited to the negligible insertion loss of the passive contacts. Installers who need active cooling or integrated surge protection should select a different device.

Questions about this item

How do I install the coupler on a 45 mm DIN rail, and what step do people often miss?

Snap the coupler onto the rail until the latch clicks; the step most people miss is fully seating both RJ45 cables so each connector clicks into the shielded jack.

What maintenance or replacement will the coupler need over time?

The coupler itself has no moving parts to service; replace it only if the shielded housing is damaged or the RJ45 contacts become corroded.
