16-Port USB Charging Cabinet

The Tripp Lite CSC16USB is a locking steel cabinet that delivers 2.4A USB charging and syncing for up to 16 tablets or similar devices. It suits schools, offices and retail environments that need secure storage and simultaneous charging in one unit. The vented design helps dissipate heat while devices are locked inside.

Installation and Common Issues

The cabinet ships fully assembled and can be mounted to a wall, desk, table, counter or floor using the integrated mounting points. A C14 inlet accepts 110-120V AC power with auto-selecting 50/60 Hz frequency; users must supply a country-specific cordset if the standard cable does not match local outlets. The removable dividers and cord-management shelf simplify cable routing, but installers should verify that each device fits within the 10.6 x 1.5 x 15.4 in. slot dimensions before final mounting.

2.4A Per-Port Charging Current

Each of the 16 USB ports supplies up to 2.4A, which determines whether a tablet or phone will charge at its maximum supported speed. Devices that require higher current will charge more slowly or may not charge while in use. The cabinet accepts devices up to 16.5 x 10.5 x 1.5 in. with cords attached, so any unit exceeding those dimensions cannot be accommodated.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 2.4A output is active on all 16 USB ports after installation?

Connect a tablet to each port and confirm the device shows a charging indicator; the cabinet ships fully assembled so every port is live once the C14 inlet receives 110-120V AC power.

What comes in the package and what must I supply separately?

The box contains the black 16-device USB charging cabinet, two keys for the locking steel doors, and the owner's manual; you must provide a country-specific AC cordset to plug into the C14 inlet.

Which version should I choose if my tablets have protective cases up to 16.5 x 10.5 x 1.5 inches?

The deep 16-port model has slots measuring 10.6 x 1.5 x 15.4 inches, designed to fit tablets with cases up to 16.5 x 10.5 x 1.5 inches, so this single version covers that requirement.
