This 5 metre duplex cable uses 50/125 µm OM4 multimode fibre rated for 10 Gb and 100 Gb links. A low-smoke zero-halogen jacket meets fire-safety requirements in plenum and riser spaces. The assembly is supplied as a single unit ready for immediate installation.

Installers needing 10 Gb

The cable suits data-centre patches, backbone links and campus networks that specify OM4 performance. Buyers who require single-mode fibre, longer reach or a different connector type should select an alternative product.

Questions about this item

What type of transceiver modules are required to connect this duplex OM4 cable?

This cable uses LC duplex connectors, so you need transceivers with matching LC interfaces that accept 50/125 µm multimode fibre.

Will this OM4 cable work with my existing OM3 patch panels and enclosures?

Yes, OM4 is backwards compatible with OM3 infrastructure; the 50/125 µm core size matches, so you can mix them in the same link.
