Tripp Lite OM3 LC/LC Fibre Cable 10m

This 10-metre duplex patch cable uses OM3 50/125 multimode fibre with LC connectors on both ends. It is built for 10 and 40 Gb Ethernet links driven by 850 nm VCSEL or LED sources. The aqua OFNP jacket meets plenum fire-resistance requirements for overhead and raised-floor runs.

Ideal for LAN, SAN and Data-Centre Links

Network engineers extending 10 or 40 Gb connections inside a rack or across a room will find the length and rating convenient. Buyers who need single-mode reach, armoured jackets or MTP/MPO connectors should look at other cable types.

OM3 50/125 Multimode Rating Decides Fit

The OM3 multimode classification determines the maximum supported distance for 10 and 40 Gb Ethernet at 850 nm. If your link budget or switch optics require single-mode or a different multimode grade, this cable will not meet the specification.

Questions about this item

Which length and connector combination should I pick for a 10-metre OM3 run between LC ports?

The N820-10M-TAA is a 10-metre duplex cable with LC male connectors on both ends, built for OM3 50/125 µm multimode fibre.

What throughput can I expect from this cable in a live 10 or 40 Gb Ethernet link?

It supports 10 and 40 Gb Ethernet up to 300 metres at 850 nm, so a 10-metre run will carry full line-rate traffic with ample margin.

How does the OM3 rating and OFNP jacket affect where I can install this cable?

OM3 50/125 µm fibre is laser-optimised for VCSEL sources at 850 nm, and the aqua OFNP jacket is plenum-rated for use in drop ceilings and raised floors.
