Tripp Lite 1000VA 500W Line-Interactive UPS
The Tripp Lite Omnivs1000 is a new 1000 VA line-interactive uninterruptible power supply delivering 500 watts of battery-backed output. It provides eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, six with UPS and surge protection plus two surge-only, and includes a USB port for automatic data protection.
Home office and small business desktop users
This unit suits setups that require 120 V input and output with automatic voltage regulation and 480 joules of surge energy rating. Buyers who need medical-grade approval, a different input voltage, or longer runtime than the rated 18 minutes at half load should look elsewhere.
500 watt continuous output rating
The 500 watt rating determines which connected equipment can remain powered during an outage. With a 4 millisecond transfer time and 14 minute backup at half load, it supports typical desktop systems but not loads exceeding the wattage limit.

Questions about this item
Will the 1000 VA UPS keep my older router and modem running through its RJ-11 and USB ports?
The unit provides RJ-11 modem, fax and DSL surge protection plus a USB interface, so legacy networking gear connected through those ports will stay powered and protected during an outage.
How do I confirm the 500 watt UPS is working correctly after I plug it in?
Connect the USB cable to a computer, install the monitoring software, then simulate a power loss; the software will show battery runtime and the unit will switch to battery in about 4 milliseconds.
What cables come in the box and what must I buy separately for the 8 NEMA 5-15R outlets?
The package includes an RJ-11 cable, a USB cable and the user manual; power cords for devices plugging into the eight NEMA 5-15R outlets are not included.
