Tripp Lite P040-010 Power Extension Cord 10 ft L6-20P to C19 12 AWG 20A 250V

SKU CH-Z1PA-P617X

A 10 ft heavy-duty power extension cord with NEMA L6-20P plug and IEC 60320 C19 connector, rated 20 A at 250 V using 12 AWG copper conductors

  • Heavy-duty power delivery for PDU and UPS units via L6-20P to C19 connection
  • 12 AWG copper conductors support 20 A at 250 V for reliable high-current operation
  • Fully molded connectors provide secure, strain-relieved links in rack environments
  • 10 ft length offers flexible placement between power source and equipment
  • IEC 60320 C19 and NEMA L6-20 ends ensure standard compatibility with enterprise gear

Heavy-Duty PDU Extension

This ten-foot cord extends the reach between a PDU or UPS outlet and rack-mount equipment that uses a C19 inlet. It carries a 250 V, 20 A rating suitable for high-density server and networking gear.

Thermals and Power Delivery

Three 12 AWG copper conductors handle the rated current with minimal voltage drop across the full length. Fully moulded connectors resist heat buildup at the termination points during continuous operation.

Build Integration

The NEMA L6-20P plug locks securely into compatible PDU receptacles, while the IEC 60320 C19 connector mates with matching server inlets. This cable frees rack space by allowing flexible equipment placement without strain on ports.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the L6-20P plug to a PDU or UPS without damaging the locking mechanism?

Align the blades with the receptacle, push straight in, then twist clockwise until the lock clicks; forcing it sideways bends the 12 AWG conductors inside the molded housing.

When should I replace this 12 AWG extension cord?

Replace it if the jacket shows cuts, the C19 or L6-20P pins are discoloured, or the cable feels stiff near the moulded ends after repeated 20 A loads.

What is the first sign the cord is reaching its 20 A continuous limit?

The moulded connectors become noticeably warm and the outer jacket may soften, indicating the 12 AWG copper conductors are at their rated thermal capacity.
