What this cable does

The Tripp Lite P568-006-FL is a six-foot High Speed HDMI cable with a flat profile that carries 4K video and digital audio between two HDMI ports. Gold-plated connectors and flat conductors reduce crosstalk while keeping the run easy to route behind furniture or through tight spaces. It supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 18 Gbps bandwidth.

Who should use it and who should not

Installers and home users who need a thin, flexible link for 4K televisions, monitors, projectors or game consoles at standard 60 Hz refresh rates will find the flat design simple to conceal. Builders requiring bandwidth above 18 Gbps for higher refresh rates, 8K signals or advanced gaming features should look at a different cable class.

Bandwidth decides fit

The 18 Gbps rating is the single figure that determines whether this cable matches the display and source capabilities. If the equipment demands more throughput, this model will not pass the full signal.

Questions about this item

Will the 6 ft flat cable reach my older 1080p display without signal loss?

The 18 Gbps bandwidth supports 1080p and 4K at 3840 x 2160, so your 1080p display will work at full quality over the 6 ft length.

How can I verify the 24K gold-plated connectors are making a solid 18 Gbps link?

Play a 4K 3840 x 2160 source; if the picture appears without sparkles or drop-outs the 18 Gbps connection is established.

Does the package include anything besides the flat HDMI cable itself?

The box contains only the 6 ft flat HDMI cable with 24K gold-plated connectors; no adapters or extra accessories are included.
