20 ft HDMI cable with gripping connectors

This 20 ft HDMI cable links laptops, tablets, PCs, Blu-ray players, game consoles or satellite and cable boxes to HDTVs, monitors, projectors or home-theatre receivers. Male-to-male connectors carry both digital video and audio in a single run. The 20 ft length suits living-room or classroom layouts where the source sits far from the display. It is not for buyers who need longer runs or higher-resolution bandwidth.

Gold-plated contacts and double shielding

Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion while double shielding blocks EMI and RFI interference during normal use. The cable draws no external power and adds no audible noise to the signal path. Passive construction keeps operation simple and reliable. It is not for installers who require active signal boosting or in-wall fire ratings.

Gripping connectors prevent accidental disconnects

Moulded gripping connectors hold the HDMI ports firmly so a tug on the cable will not pull the plug free. The black PVC jacket protects the conductors during routing around furniture or through cable-management channels. No software or drivers are included or required. It is not for users who need locking screw terminals or field-terminable ends.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 20 ft HDMI cable so the gripping connectors stay locked in place?

Push each male HDMI plug straight into the port until you feel the internal latch click; forcing it at an angle bends the latch and defeats the grip.

What part of the P568-020-BK-GRP cable will need replacement first?

The gold-plated male HDMI connectors wear from repeated mating cycles; the cable jacket and conductors themselves do not degrade under normal indoor use.

At what distance does the 1080p signal start to lose integrity on this 20 ft run?

The 20 ft length is within the high-speed HDMI specification for 1080p, so sustained use at the rated resolution shows no signal loss.
