DisplayPort cable with latches

The Tripp Lite P580-015 is a male-to-male DisplayPort cable measuring 15 ft in length. It carries digital video and audio over a single black cable fitted with locking latches on each connector. The link supports DisplayPort 1.2 and HDCP for protected content playback.

Users needing a secure 15 ft link

This cable suits installations where a 15 ft run is required and the latching connectors prevent accidental disconnection. It handles 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz or 1920 x 1200 at 120 Hz. Builders needing a shorter or longer reach, or a version rated for higher refresh rates at 4K, should look at other lengths or specifications.

DisplayPort 1.2 bandwidth ceiling

The single specification that decides fit is the DisplayPort 1.2 rating, which limits 4K x 2K 3840 x 2160 output to 60 Hz. If the display or source demands greater bandwidth for higher refresh rates at that resolution, this cable will not deliver the required performance.
