12-Outlet Rackmount Power Strip

The Tripp Lite RS-1215-20 provides twelve outlets in a rackmount form factor. It is designed for audio and video installations that require consolidated power distribution. The unit suits installers and technicians managing multiple devices in a standard equipment rack.

Fits 1U rack space and frees wall outlets

The strip mounts directly into a rack enclosure, removing the need for separate wall strips. Its twelve outlets accommodate numerous components while keeping cabling contained within the rack. The 20 amp rating supports higher combined loads than standard strips.

Questions about this item

How many devices can I plug into the 12 outlets before the 20 amp breaker trips under sustained load?

The strip provides 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets protected by a single 20 amp circuit breaker; total continuous draw across all outlets must stay below 20 amps to avoid tripping.

Does the RS-1215-20 generate noticeable heat or fan noise when fully loaded for extended periods?

The unit has no internal fan and relies on passive metal housing for heat dissipation; it runs silently, though the enclosure will warm proportionally to the total load up to the 20 amp rating.
