Replacement lock for SmartRack enclosures

The Tripp Lite SRHANDLE3 replaces the door lock on SmartRack floor-standing cabinets that have front or rear door handles. It lets administrators restrict physical access to rack-mounted servers and networking gear in data centres, server rooms or network closets.

Two-key limit per lock assembly

Each unit ships with two matching keys, so only those two copies exist for this specific lock. Buyers who need more than two people to open the same door without sharing keys cannot do so with this kit, and no master-key option is mentioned.

Swaps in using original mounting hardware

Installation reuses the screws and brackets from the existing SmartRack door handle, so no new fasteners are required. The process fails if the original handle hardware is missing, stripped or from a non-SmartRack cabinet, because the lock is not supplied with its own mounting kit.

Questions about this item

Which version of the SmartRack replacement lock do I need for my enclosure?

The SRHANDLE3 is the Version 3 lock designed for SmartRack floor-standing enclosures that have door handles on the front and rear doors.

What does the kit provide once installed on the rack?

You receive two locking handles and two matching keys that secure both the front and rear doors, preventing unauthorised access to the equipment inside.

How does the lock attach to the existing door handle?

It reuses the mounting hardware already on the SmartRack door handle, so installation is completed without extra brackets or tools.
