1U cantilever shelf for two-post and four-post racks

This 1U cantilever shelf mounts in standard two-post or four-post racks and provides a 12-inch deep platform for monitors, keyboards or small network devices. It supports up to 40 lb (18 kg) of equipment weight. The shelf is designed for fixed installation and ships with all required mounting hardware.

Depth and load limits in a 1U profile

The 12-inch (305 mm) shelf depth determines how far equipment can extend from the rack posts, which may restrict use with deeper chassis or large monitors. The 40 lb (18 kg) capacity sets a hard ceiling on the combined weight of placed devices, so heavier appliances will need a different mounting solution.

Cold-rolled steel build with back-to-back expansion

Cold-rolled steel with a black finish gives the shelf a rigid, corrosion-resistant surface for daily rack-room use. Two units can be installed back to back in two-post racks to create a deeper fixed shelf when a single 12-inch platform is insufficient. Included hardware simplifies the initial mount.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 12 in or 305 mm depth version?

Both figures describe the same shelf depth; there is only one size option.

What does the 40 lb rating mean once the shelf is mounted in my rack?

It is the maximum static load the cantilever shelf can support when secured to the rack posts.

How does the cantilever mounting interface limit what I can install?

The shelf mounts to the front posts only, so the 40 lb capacity applies to equipment projecting forward from the rack.
