Dual-Display USB-C Adapter

The Tripp Lite U444-2DP-MST4K6 connects two DisplayPort monitors to a single USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on a laptop or desktop. It converts audio and video signals from sources that support USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The adapter handles 4K resolution at 60 Hz across both screens simultaneously. Plug-and-play operation requires no extra software or drivers.

10 Gbps Bandwidth Limit

The single USB-C connection runs at USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds up to 10 Gbps, which caps the total video throughput available for both displays. This bandwidth governs whether dual 4K 60 Hz output is sustainable alongside other USB traffic. DisplayPort 1.4 and HDCP 2.2 compliance are supported within this link constraint. The reversible USB-C male plug inserts either way for quick connection.

Suits Dual 4K Productivity Setups

This adapter suits users adding two 4K monitors to a USB-C laptop for multitasking, editing or signage. It also drives a single 8K display when only one output is needed. Buyers whose host port lacks DisplayPort Alternate Mode cannot use this adapter. Builders needing more than two video outputs or higher per-display refresh rates should look at something else.
