Dual 4K HDMI output

This USB-C adapter adds two HDMI ports to a compatible laptop or tablet, letting you drive two external monitors at up to 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60 Hz. It uses DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode and supports both SST and MST for multi-display setups. HDCP 2.2 and HDR with 4:4:4 colour are supported for protected and high-quality video playback. Audio up to 7.1 channels passes through the HDMI connections.

Single-cable dock alternative

The adapter draws video and power from one USB-C port that must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode, so no separate power brick is required. Nickel-plated connectors and a reversible USB-C plug ensure a reliable, orientation-free connection. At 0.45 x 2.17 x 1.97 inches and 0.09 lb, it adds minimal bulk to a travel kit. Plug-and-play operation means no driver installation on supported operating systems.

For dual-screen productivity

Ideal for professionals who need two 4K screens from a single USB-C port for multitasking, coding or content review. Not suited for users whose host only offers USB data without video Alt Mode, or for setups requiring more than two displays. Gamers targeting high refresh rates above 60 Hz at 4K should look elsewhere. Thunderbolt 3 hosts are compatible, but the adapter does not add Thunderbolt downstream ports.

Questions about this item

What limits the adapter to two 4K displays at 60 Hz when used all day?

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 link caps bandwidth at 10 Gbps, which is the hard ceiling for dual 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz streams.

Does the adapter get hot or draw much power during continuous operation?

The nickel-plated aluminium shell dissipates heat passively; with no fan and only 0.09 lb mass it stays cool under normal all-day loads.

What must the host computer already provide for this adapter to work?

The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode and MST; Thunderbolt 3 ports meet this requirement automatically.
