Tritan 35 Chain Sprocket 20 Teeth

The Tritan 35BS20H is a finished-bore sprocket designed for single-strand 35 chain with a 3/8 in pitch. It fits a 1/2 in shaft and secures with two set screws, no keyway required. This component suits maintenance teams and hobbyists replacing worn drive parts on light machinery.

Black Oxide Steel Sprocket Sustained Load

The steel body with black oxide finish resists wear during continuous operation. A 2.59 in outside diameter and 2.397 in pitch diameter maintain consistent engagement. The 0.582 in hub projection and 3/4 in length through bore keep alignment stable under ongoing torque.

Upgrade From Worn 35 Chain Sprockets

Replaces damaged or corroded 35 series sprockets where the bore and tooth count match. The jump is worth it when the original hub projection or set screw layout matches the 1 15/16 in hub diameter and dual screw pattern. Not for drives needing a keyway or a different bore size.

Questions about this item

Does the steel sprocket heat up noticeably when running continuously at high speed?

The black-oxide finished steel body dissipates heat normally for a 20-tooth, 35-chain sprocket; no abnormal temperature rise is expected under standard chain loads.

What chain and shaft size must I already have to mount this sprocket?

You need a 3/8-inch pitch, single-strand number 35 chain and a 1/2-inch diameter shaft with two set-screw flats.

Will this 20-tooth sprocket mesh with an older number 35 chain that has stretched slightly?

The 2.397-inch pitch diameter matches standard number 35 geometry, so it will engage a worn chain until the chain exceeds its wear limit.
