A 10-tooth steel sprocket with 5/8 in bore, keyway and set screws for #40 chain
This 10-tooth steel sprocket fits 40-series roller chain with a 1/2-inch pitch and a 5/8-inch finished bore. It includes a 3/16-inch keyway and two set screws for positive shaft locking in power transmission builds.
The fixed bore accepts shafts up to 5/8 inch diameter only, with a hub projection of .591 inch and a 1 1/4-inch hub diameter. Single-strand chain engagement is defined by the 1.618-inch pitch diameter and 1.84-inch outside diameter.
It upgrades from damaged or undersized sprockets on existing 40-chain drives where the shaft diameter matches exactly. The jump is worth it when the keyway depth of 3/32 inch and black-oxide finish are required for the application.

The 10-tooth version gives a 1.618 in pitch diameter and 1.84 in outside diameter; choose a higher tooth count if you need a larger driven sprocket or a smaller one for higher driven speed.
It is the effective diameter where the 40 chain engages, so chain speed equals shaft rpm multiplied by 1.618 in divided by 2.
Yes, the fixed 5/8 in bore includes a 3/16 in wide by 3/32 in deep keyway plus two set screws for positive drive and axial retention.
