Industrial Sprocket for Chain 60

The Tritan 60A40 is a steel roller chain sprocket with 40 teeth designed for single-strand chain number 60. It features a plain bore of 1 in and a pitch diameter of 9.56 in for power transmission applications.

Maintenance Teams Not General Collectors

This component suits maintenance crews and equipment builders who need a replacement sprocket with a black oxide finish and 9.98 in outside diameter. Buyers seeking display memorabilia or non-industrial collectibles should look elsewhere.

Plain Bore Requires Custom Fitting

The supplied sprocket has no hub, keyway or set screws, so the plain bore must be machined to match the shaft. This means the part arrives ready for workshop modification rather than direct installation.

Questions about this item

What chain size and tooth count does this sprocket need to match on my existing chain?

It is made for 60 chain size and has 40 teeth, so the chain you already use must be ANSI 60 pitch with the same tooth engagement.

Will the 1 in plain bore fit the shaft I already have without a keyway?

The bore is a 1 in plain bore with no keyway and no set screws, so your shaft must be 1 in diameter and you will need a separate locking method such as a set-screw collar or shrink fit.

How can I confirm the sprocket is seated correctly after installation?

Measure the outside diameter — it should read 9.98 in — and verify the pitch diameter is 9.56 in; both must match the values stamped on the sprocket.
