Finished-bore sprocket for 60 chain

The Tritan 60BS12H is a 12-tooth steel sprocket with a 1 1/8 in fixed bore, keyway and two set screws included. It suits maintenance teams and OEM builders fitting single-strand 60 chain drives on conveyors, packaging lines or agricultural equipment.

Single-strand 60 chain constraint

The sprocket accepts only single-strand 60 chain at 3/4 in pitch; multi-strand or other pitch sizes will not engage. Its 3.25 in outside diameter and 2.898 in pitch diameter fix the speed ratio, so the driven shaft speed cannot be altered without changing the sprocket itself.

Keyway and set-screw mounting

A 1/4 in wide by 1/8 in deep keyway plus two set screws lock the hub to the shaft, giving a positive drive without welding. Installers must verify shaft diameter matches the 1 1/8 in bore and that the key seats fully; an undersized shaft or missing key will allow rotation and rapid wear.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 12-tooth or a different tooth count for my 60 chain drive?

Choose the 12-tooth version when your design calls for a 2.898 in pitch diameter and a 3.25 in outside diameter on a 3/4 in pitch chain.

What does the 3.25 in outside diameter mean once the sprocket is mounted on the shaft?

It sets the maximum radial envelope to 3.25 in, so guards and adjacent components must clear that circle around the 1 1/8 in bore.

How does the 60 chain size limit what this sprocket can transmit?

The 3/4 in pitch of 60 chain fixes the tooth spacing, so torque capacity is tied to the 12-tooth steel geometry and the 1/4 in keyway width.
