Purpose & Audience

The Tritan SBFL201-8G is a 2-bolt flange bearing with a rhombus housing designed for light industrial power transmission. It suits maintenance teams and OEM assemblers who need a compact, fixed-expansion unit for radial loads on a half-inch shaft.

Capacity & Headroom

The alloy-steel radial ball insert handles moderate radial forces in conveyors, fans and agricultural drives. Fixed expansion means it cannot accommodate axial shaft growth, so it is unsuitable for long runs where thermal elongation exceeds the housing's restraint.

Thermals, Noise & Power

Double-sealed construction retains the NLGI #2 equivalent lubricant across a -40 to 250 °F range, keeping contaminant ingress and lubricant loss low. Sealed operation minimises rolling noise, while the cast-iron housing conducts heat away from the insert without external cooling.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/2 in bore fit the shaft I already have on my older conveyor?

The bearing has a 1/2 in cylindrical bore, so it matches any shaft of that exact diameter.

How can I confirm the SB201-8G insert is seated correctly after mounting?

Rotate the shaft by hand; it should turn smoothly without binding, and the double-sealed closure keeps lubricant inside.

Does the package include mounting bolts for the two-hole rhombus housing?

The box contains the SB201-8G bearing insert pre-fitted in the cast-iron housing; mounting bolts are not included.
