Genuine Tritan UCP207-21 Pillow Block

This is a brand-new Tritan UCP207-21 pillow block bearing with a cast-iron housing and alloy-steel radial ball insert. The bore measures 1 5/16 in and uses a set-screw locking method. Double-sealed closure and grease lubrication suit industrial power-transmission applications.

Upgrade from worn or unsealed units

Replace bearings that show excess play, noise or seal failure in mounted equipment. The fixed expansion type and 250 Degrees F maximum temperature rating make the jump worthwhile when the current unit cannot handle the thermal range or contamination levels.

Bolt-through mounting with 5 in centres

The base height is .708 in and the base width is 1.889 in, with mount-hole centres spaced 5 in by 5 in. The bearing operates from -40 Degrees F to 250 Degrees F. It is not for applications that require an eccentric lock, a floating expansion type or a bore size outside 1 5/16 in.

Questions about this item

What mounting-hole spacing does the UCP207-21 pillow block require?

The cast-iron housing uses bolt-through mounting with a 5 in center-to-center length and a 5 in center-to-center width for the mounting holes.

How is the bearing secured onto a 1 5/16 in shaft, and what step is often missed?

Tighten the set-screw locking collar onto the cylindrical bore; the step often missed is torquing the screw to the manufacturer's specification so the inner ring does not slip.

When should the grease in this double-sealed radial ball insert be replenished?

Relubricate through the housing fitting at intervals suited to the -40 °F to 250 °F operating range and the application's load and speed conditions.
