What the THETA projector is

The TROISC THETA is a new home theater projector with a native 1920 x 1080 resolution and an Android 9.0 operating system. It includes pre-loaded apps such as Google Play, Netflix and YouTube for direct streaming. Dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5G plus Bluetooth support wireless screen mirroring from Android, iOS, Windows and Mac OS devices.

The specification that decides fit

Native resolution is 1920 x 1080 with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so the image matches Full HD sources pixel-for-pixel. The throw ratio of 1.21:1 works at distances from 1.5 m to 10 m, producing a picture between 30" and 300". Auto focus, auto vertical keystone, 4-point and 4-side keystone correction handle off-centre placement without manual alignment.

Thermals noise and power draw

The lamp draws 150 W and is rated above 3500 lumens with a 10000:1 contrast ratio. A fully coated glass lens transmits light efficiently while the LED light engine runs cooler than traditional lamps. Audio exits through a 3.5 mm jack for external speakers or headphones, keeping the unit itself quiet during normal viewing.

Questions about this item

How bright is 3500 lumens when the projector is running in a typical living room?

The 3500 lumen rating means the image stays visible with some ambient light, though a darkened room still gives the best contrast and colour depth.

What does the dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5G connection actually limit when streaming 1080p content?

The 5G band handles high-bitrate 1080p streams smoothly, while the 2.4G band provides wider coverage but may need a stronger signal for the same quality.

How much space do I need between the lens and the wall to get a 300-inch picture?

At the 1.21:1 throw ratio, a 300-inch diagonal requires roughly 10 metres of throw distance, so measure your room depth before mounting.
