Four-colour replacement set for HP 3500

This four-pack contains one black and three colour cartridges that replace HP originals Q2670A, Q2671A, Q2672A and Q2673A. It fits the Color LaserJet 3500, 3500N, 3550 and 3550N printers. The set is aimed at offices and home users who want a full colour refresh in a single purchase.

Standard-yield output rated at 6000 black

Each black cartridge is rated for 6000 pages at five-percent coverage, while each cyan, magenta and yellow unit is rated for 4000 pages. The manufacturer states the cartridges have passed SMTC and ISO quality-assurance tests and are backed by a one-year defect guarantee. Buyers who need higher page counts per cartridge will not find that capacity in this pack.

Drop-in installation with chip recognition

Cartridges are designed to seat directly in the printer without tools or firmware steps. The embedded chips report toner levels to the control panel so the printer can track remaining life. Users who skip the initial shake-and-install routine sometimes see a temporary density variation on the first few pages.

Questions about this item

When do the 308A black and 309A colour cartridges need replacing?

The black cartridge yields about 6000 pages at 5% coverage, while each colour cartridge yields about 4000 pages at the same coverage.

What runs out first during long print runs?

Colour cartridges reach their 4000-page limit before the black cartridge reaches its 6000-page limit.

How hot or loud does the printer get when these cartridges run all day?

The cartridges themselves generate no noise or heat; any sound or temperature comes from the printer mechanism.
