Compatible Toner for Ricoh Aficio SP Series

This True Color Toner cartridge replaces Ricoh OEM number 406989 and fits the Aficio SP3500, SP3500DN, SP3500N, SP3500SF, SP3510, SP3510DN and SP3510SF printers. It is a new aftermarket black toner supplied as a single pack for home or office printing. Buyers needing colour output or cartridges for other printer families should look elsewhere.

Standard Yield and Print Density

The cartridge is rated at approximately 6400 pages at five percent coverage, delivering crisp text and graphics across the full density range. No power draw, thermal or noise figures apply to a toner cartridge. Shops that require a higher page yield per cartridge will not find it here.

Consistent Output Over Extended Runs

Premium grade toner maintains sharp, vibrant prints from the first page to the last of the rated yield. The formulation is designed for steady performance during long print jobs without fade or streaking. Customers who need drum units, waste containers or maintenance kits must purchase those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 406989 cartridge in my Ricoh Aficio SP3500DN, and which step is most often missed?

Open the front cover, unlock the lever, remove the old cartridge, shake the new one gently to distribute toner, remove any protective seal, insert until it clicks, then close the cover — the step most often missed is shaking the cartridge before installation.

What will need replacement after the 6400 page yield is reached on this black toner?

The entire 406989 toner cartridge will need replacement once the approximate 6400 page yield at 5% coverage is exhausted.

What limit appears first during long print runs with the SP3500 series using this cartridge?

The 6400 page yield at 5% coverage is the primary limit; sustained high-coverage printing will reach this limit sooner than standard documents.
