True Color Toner 42AJ Jumbo Cartridge

This jumbo toner cartridge replaces the HP Q5942A and delivers approximately 15000 pages at 5% coverage. It is compatible with HP LaserJet 4240, 4250 and 4350 series printers. The single-pack black cartridge suits offices that need high-volume monochrome printing.

Consistent output across long print runs

The jumbo formulation provides 25% more yield than the standard cartridge, maintaining crisp text and sharp images from the first page to the last. Quality assurance testing to SMTC and ISO standards supports reliable density and toner adhesion throughout the 15000-page life.

Drop-in installation with standard HP slot

The cartridge seats directly into the LaserJet 4240, 4250 and 4350 models without tools or firmware steps. Occasional issues include a protective seal that must be fully removed before use and rare chip recognition prompts that resolve with a printer restart.

Questions about this item

Does the 15000-page jumbo cartridge run hotter or draw more power during long print runs?

The cartridge is a passive toner supply with no heating element or power draw of its own; heat and electricity use come from the printer's fuser and engine, not from the cartridge.

Which printer models must I already own for this Q5942A replacement to fit?

It fits HP LaserJet 4240, 4240N, 4250, 4250DTN, 4250DTNSL, 4250N, 4250TN, 4350DTN, 4350DTNSL, 4350N and 4350TN.

Will the jumbo cartridge work in an older 4240 that still has the original drum unit installed?

Yes, the Q5942A cartridge replaces the original toner module and is designed to operate with the existing drum unit in those printers.
