Four-Cartridge Set for HP 645A

This four-pack contains new aftermarket toner cartridges that replace HP 645A models C9730A, C9731A, C9732A and C9733A. It supplies black, cyan, magenta and yellow toner for HP Color LaserJet 5500 and 5550 series printers. Offices needing a complete colour refresh from a single purchase will find the kit convenient.

Standard-Yield Replacements for OEM 645A

The cartridges replace original HP 645A units at standard yield, delivering approximately 13000 pages from the black cartridge and 12000 pages from each colour cartridge at five-percent coverage. The jump is worth it when a printer shows low-toner alerts on multiple colours at once and buying a full set costs less than individual OEM cartridges.

Drop-In Installation with Chip Recognition

Each cartridge seats directly into the printer without tools or firmware steps; the embedded chip is recognised by the 5500 and 5550 series immediately. The most common issue is a protective seal or pull-tab left on the cartridge, which blocks toner flow and produces blank or streaked pages until removed.

Questions about this item

Will the 645A cartridges fit my HP Color LaserJet 5500DN without any bracket changes?

The four cartridges are direct replacements for HP C9730A C9731A C9732A C9733A and install in the standard slots of the Color LaserJet 5500 5500DN 5500DTN and 5550N with no extra hardware.

What is the correct order to install the four colour cartridges so the printer recognises them immediately?

Power on the printer, open the front cover, remove each old cartridge, shake the new black C9730A and colour C9731A C9732A C9733A units gently, then insert each into its matching colour-labelled slot until it clicks.

When should I expect to replace the black cartridge versus the cyan magenta and yellow cartridges based on the rated yield?

The black cartridge is rated for 13000 pages at 5% coverage while each colour cartridge is rated for 12000 pages so the black unit typically lasts slightly longer under the same print volume.
