What this cartridge does

This True Color Toner 90A MICR cartridge replaces the HP CE390A original. It is built for businesses that print cheques or other documents requiring magnetic ink character recognition on LaserJet Enterprise 600 and M4555 series printers.

The specification that decides fit

MICR formulation is the single requirement; standard black toner will not produce readable magnetic characters for bank processing. This cartridge delivers that formulation at a rated yield of 10000 pages measured at 5% coverage on Letter or A4 media.

How it fits into your workflow

The cartridge installs directly into the listed LaserJet Enterprise models without hardware changes. One single-pack unit frees budget compared to the OEM equivalent while maintaining the magnetic print quality cheque-processing equipment expects.

Questions about this item

What does the 10000 page yield mean when the cartridge is installed in an HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M602DN?

It means you can expect roughly 10000 A4 or Letter pages at 5 percent coverage before the toner runs out, based on the standard test method used for this CE390A replacement.

How does the MICR formulation affect printing on the LaserJet Enterprise M4555 MFP?

The MICR toner contains magnetic particles that let cheque-reading equipment detect the characters, while still producing normal black text and graphics on the M4555 MFP.

Will this CE390A cartridge fit the HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M603XH without any extra parts?

Yes, the cartridge is a direct replacement for the OEM CE390A and seats in the M603XH exactly like the original HP unit.
